Google Meet exposes joining details and Calendar-event attachments from within a meeting. These controls help you confirm the room information or find a document without searching through unrelated invitations. Attached files still have their own access rules, so their presence does not guarantee that every participant can open them.
Open the meeting details
In the computer meeting, locate Meeting details at the bottom right. Open it and inspect the joining information. If you need to copy the details, use Copy joining info, then paste into the intended communication draft and review it. Copying does not itself invite someone or guarantee their admission; share the room only with the intended audience.
Find Calendar attachments
Choose Attachments to open files attached to the Calendar event. Compare the file name and version with the presenter’s description. If you expected a file but none appears, check that this is the meeting associated with the intended event and ask the organizer whether the attachment was actually added. A separately shared chat link may not be a Calendar attachment.
Verify the file and permissions
Open the relevant attachment with the intended account and confirm that it is the correct document. If access is denied, ask the owner for appropriate permission rather than broadly changing sharing settings yourself. Keep the meeting visible when following the document, or use an approved picture-in-picture arrangement if supported. Do not edit a source file merely because you opened it from Meet; follow the task and the permissions given. When distributing joining details or attachment links, check the recipients and context carefully. Finish by confirming the person who needed the information can reach the right meeting or file, since successful copying alone is not the same as successful access.
