Eligible Google Meet accounts can present a camera feed as shared content, including a document camera showing physical pages or objects. This is separate from simply turning on your usual webcam tile. Confirm feature eligibility and prepare the additional camera before planning a live demonstration around it.
Enable camera presentation
Connect the additional video-conferencing camera or virtual camera you intend to use. In the meeting, open More options, Settings, and General. Turn on Share content from camera. Google says the camera will not appear as a presentation option until this setting is enabled. If it is missing, check your Workspace edition rather than changing unrelated camera permissions.
Select the feed to present
Close settings and choose Present now, then Camera. Select the document camera or other external camera and an audio input if necessary, then click Share. Prepare the physical surface first so private papers, labels, and surrounding objects are outside the demonstration area. Check that the selected feed is the intended camera rather than your face camera.
Verify picture and sound deliberately
Ask a participant to confirm an agreed object or page detail is visible, then move it slightly to confirm the feed updates. Add camera-associated audio only when required. Google describes a Meet audio-processing option for camera content but recommends leaving it off if you are unsure how it works; do not treat it as a universal enhancement. Stop the presentation when finished and inspect your separate webcam state. A camera presentation ending does not by itself establish whether your ordinary video tile remains on. Retain a still-image or approved file fallback for a demonstration that cannot depend on an unverified live feed.
