A repeating event in the Google Calendar Android app maintains a schedule through a recurrence rule. Choose that rule instead of manually copying the same meeting every week. Review future scope when editing, because the mobile confirmation wording can differ from assumptions based on another interface.
Set the first occurrence
Open the app, choose Create > Event, and enter the title and confirmed date and time. Under the time, tap Does not repeat. Google’s Android guidance describes selecting how often the event should repeat, then saving.
Review the intended pattern
Check the available frequency and any end condition in the current editor. Google’s recurrence guidance states a limit of 730 occurrences. Do not describe the series as infinitely guaranteed merely because the interface offers an ongoing pattern.
An existing ordinary event can also be opened, edited, and given a repeat setting. Confirm that it should become the first member of a series before converting it.
Verify dates and later edits
Open several resulting occurrences and check weekdays, times, and the intended end. For a later edit, read the save prompt carefully. Google’s Android guidance distinguishes This event from an All events choice affecting the selected and future events while leaving past events unchanged in that documented workflow. Do not infer scope from the label alone. If only one week changes, verify a neighboring occurrence afterward. Keep visibility changes separate, since recurring visibility has its own series-wide rules. The completed series should remain one identifiable schedule with the intended exceptions, rather than overlapping manual copies that are difficult to maintain.
