The Google Calendar Android app can create and edit events without using the computer interface. Check the account and destination calendar before saving. A phone can display several calendars, and a visible entry is not proof that it belongs to the intended Google Account.
Create the intended event
Open the Google Calendar app and tap Create > Event. Enter the title, date, start and end time, and useful location or description. Tap the calendar name near the top when the event belongs on another calendar you can edit.
Review the complete details
Swipe up to inspect additional event fields, including guests and available visibility settings. Google’s Android guidance says an empty interval in Day, 3 Day, or Week view can also start an event, with drag handles for its duration. Review the resulting time rather than relying solely on the gesture.
Birthday and Holiday calendars are not ordinary destinations for new events. A shared calendar also requires the appropriate creation permission; seeing its events does not necessarily grant editing access.
Save and verify the event
Tap Save and reopen the entry. Check its destination, date, and details. To change it later, open it, tap Edit, make the required change, and save again. Review recurrence scope before changing a repeating entry. If guests are involved, check the invitation and update choices separately rather than assuming a local edit establishes every participant’s response. Confirm the same event through the relevant Google Account when synchronization matters. A completed Android save should produce one correct event, not a second copy created because the first was hidden or saved under another account.
