Uninstalling a Gmail add-on removes its installed integration. Reviewing a developer’s remaining Google Account connections is a separate step. Neither action proves that information already copied to the developer’s service has been deleted.
Remove the installed integration
On desktop Gmail, show the side panel and open the add-on you want to remove. Google’s instructions use the add-on’s More menu, Manage add-on, selection of the app, and Uninstall. Review the app name and publisher before confirming.
If the organization installed the app, its removal may require an administrator. Do not assume that an unavailable personal uninstall button means you must remove your Google Account from the device. After removal, reload the affected Workspace product and verify that the add-on is no longer offered there.
Review connections with the same developer
Open your Google Account’s connections to third-party apps and services. Inspect the relevant application’s connection details. A developer can have a Google sign-in relationship, linked-account functions, or permissions to access Google data. Identify the connection you no longer need before removing it.
Consider other workflows that rely on the same developer account. Revoking a shared connection can interrupt a separate approved integration. If you want to end all use of the service, also review its own account settings and cancellation or data-deletion process.
Verify removal without overstating its effect
Check both the Workspace installation and the Google connection list. A removed sidebar icon alone does not establish that every developer connection is gone. Conversely, revoking Google access does not necessarily cancel a paid subscription with that developer.
Keep a record of the app and the access you removed. If there is a suspected security incident, follow your organization’s response process and preserve relevant evidence. Ask the developer about retained information through a known support channel; do not send passwords, tokens, or confidential messages to prove that an add-on was installed.
