A Google Meet shared window can appear frozen even while the conversation continues. First check whether the source application is changing locally and whether several viewers see the same stale image. This separates a presentation-source problem from one participant’s receiving connection or an overall call-quality issue.
Compare the local source and audience view
Bring the selected application window into view and perform one harmless change, such as moving to an approved page. Ask two viewers, when possible, whether they see it. Confirm that you actually shared that window rather than a different document with a similar title. Google’s picker only lists open windows and recommends ensuring the desired window is not minimized.
Restart only the presentation path
If the local application responds but the audience remains on an old image, stop presenting in Meet. Restore the intended window, reopen Present now, and select it again. Ask for confirmation before continuing. If the content can be shown in a Chrome tab, consider that source for its fuller documented Meet sharing controls, after checking the tab’s privacy and audio options.
Inspect wider quality symptoms
If camera video or speech also stutters, open Troubleshooting & help and inspect the current device or network recommendations. Close nonessential applications or tabs when the computer is overloaded, and use the normal approved browser-update process. Do not infer that minimizing always causes freezing or that resharing guarantees a repair; compare the actual result. Record whether all viewers were affected, whether the source changed locally, and whether restarting the share helped. Keep an approved file or still-image alternative available when a critical detail cannot wait for the live presentation to recover.
