Google Calendar on iPhone or iPad can manage dated tasks alongside events. Use a task for an action and keep its work timing separate from its deadline. A task must have a date to appear on the calendar grid, according to Google’s current guidance.
Create the action
Open Google’s Calendar app, tap an empty slot and choose Task, or use Add > Task. Enter the title, date, and intended task list, review the available timing fields, and save. Confirm the account before adding work or personal details.
Check display and reminders
In Menu, ensure Tasks is checked when a dated task is missing from the grid. Google’s guidance distinguishes scheduled task notifications from untimed dated tasks, which notify at nine in the morning. Deadline notifications also use nine in the morning local time on the deadline day.
A reminder time does not redefine an external deadline. Keep the actual source’s cutoff and time zone clear when the task supports a contractual or operational commitment.
Complete and verify the record
Open the task actually finished and choose Mark completed. Completed tasks appear by default; Settings, General, Show completed tasks can hide them when you want a cleaner view. Do not use Delete merely to mark work done, since Google’s guidance says deletion removes the task completely. Pending tasks provides uncompleted entries from the last 365 days, not an unlimited historical archive. For repeating work, review the next occurrence separately instead of creating a duplicate routine. The completed workflow should leave one identifiable dated action and an accurate completion state while preserving records you still need.
