Set Start and End Dates for a Recurring Appointment Schedule

A recurring Google Calendar appointment schedule can have a defined start and end date. Use these dates for a seasonal service, temporary consultation period, or finite project. Do not confuse the schedule’s final date with the rolling limit on how far ahead someone can book.

Open the recurring schedule

Use Calendar on a computer and create or edit the intended Appointment schedule. Confirm that its availability is recurring. Review the weekly pattern and time zone before setting the dates on which that pattern should operate.

Set the schedule’s date range

In Scheduling window, use the Start and end date controls described in Google’s availability guidance. Select the intended beginning and final dates, continue through the editor, and save. Review minimum notice and maximum advance booking settings separately.

For a single unavailable day within the range, use adjusted availability rather than ending the whole schedule. Keeping those controls distinct makes a finite booking period easier to maintain.

Verify both edges of the range

Open the booking page and inspect dates before the start, within the active period, and after the end. Check the first and last actual appointment opportunities, including the page’s time-zone context. Existing booked appointments should be reviewed independently; editing the schedule’s offered range is not the same operation as canceling a confirmed event. If the service is extended, update the actual range and inspect the new dates before telling visitors more times are available. A saved end-date field is useful evidence of configuration, but the visitor page establishes how the complete set of availability, conflicts, and booking-window rules is currently presented.
