Inserting an image in the Google Slides Android app is useful when the approved picture is available through the device’s supported source chooser. Check the actual photo before insertion, particularly when the device contains personal pictures or several similar screenshots.
Choose the image source
Open the presentation in the Android Slides app and select the intended slide. Tap Insert or the app’s Add control, choose Image, then select the available source and picture. Google’s mobile image guidance describes choosing where the image comes from and tapping the photo.
Position the picture
Tap the inserted image and drag it to the required location. Use the visible handles to adjust its size. Inspect the important subject, any embedded text, and the space reserved for the title or caption. A picture should not obscure another part of the explanation.
Keep a clear source or credit when the audience needs it. Access to a picture on the device does not establish permission to use it in every presentation.
Verify content and platform limits
Present the slide and check whether the image remains clear at the intended size. Review private details, names, or notifications in screenshots before sharing the deck. Cropping afterward should not be treated as secure redaction. Google’s Android help directs insertion of image placeholders to a computer, so distinguish inserting an ordinary picture from changing a reusable slide layout. If the image needs an advanced adjustment unavailable in the app, continue through the appropriate desktop workflow rather than assuming an unrelated mobile menu performs the same task.
