Google Slides on Android can insert text boxes, shapes, lines, and images through its Add control. Use these for a short annotation or a simple diagram when editing on a phone or tablet. Confirm the target slide before adding objects so changes do not land on a similar-looking thumbnail.
Insert the object
Open the presentation in the Android Slides app. On the slide you want to change, tap Add and choose Text, Shape, or Line as appropriate. Google’s Android object guidance lists these insertion choices.
Place and adjust it
Tap the inserted object and drag it to the intended location. Drag its blue squares to resize it or the blue circle above it to rotate. Check the result after each adjustment because small touch movements can be difficult to judge on a crowded slide.
For overlapping items, use the object’s More menu and the available front or back control. This changes stacking order rather than deleting the object hidden underneath.
Verify the complete slide
Tap outside the selection and read the slide as an audience member. Check that text is complete, shapes carry useful labels, and lines point to the intended items. Present the slide to evaluate its actual viewing appearance. If several objects must move together, the Android app’s selection and grouping controls can help, but grouping is not a security lock. Use the desktop editor when the task requires detailed precision or a feature that the app does not expose. Recheck the diagram labels after rotation.
