A daily booking limit can cap the number of appointments accepted through a Google Calendar schedule even when more time appears available. Use it when workload depends on appointment count as well as hours. A long availability period does not mean you must accept every possible slot.
Review the schedule’s capacity
On a computer, edit the intended Appointment schedule and inspect its duration and weekly availability. Estimate the number of appointments you can actually maintain, including preparation and follow-up. Keep that capacity decision separate from your general calendar working hours.
Set the maximum bookings
In the booked appointment settings, use Maximum bookings per day and enter the intended limit. Google’s availability guidance describes this control alongside buffer time. Review the actual options available to the current account and save the schedule.
A daily count is not a substitute for conflict checking. Existing meetings can still make a nominally available period unsuitable, and buffer time can reduce the number of complete appointment intervals that fit.
Verify the complete offering
Inspect the booking page and its relevant dates after saving. Review how legitimate confirmed bookings affect the remaining choices without creating unwanted appointments solely for testing. Keep the service description consistent with the capacity actually configured. Do not assume one schedule’s count is a universal limit across every unrelated booking page or all meetings in the account. Review multiple schedules explicitly when they share the same workload. Changing a limit also should not be described as canceling previously confirmed appointments. The completed setup should express a real capacity rule while leaving duration, gaps, conflicts, and existing bookings as separate parts of the scheduling review.
