The Google Calendar app on iPhone or iPad can create and edit events, but it is a separate application from Apple Calendar. Confirm which app and account you are using before following a menu sequence or expecting the event to appear elsewhere.
Create the event in Google’s app
Open Google Calendar and tap Create > Event. Enter the title and confirmed date and time. Review suggested information rather than accepting an inferred location or date without checking it. Tap the calendar name near the top to choose another editable destination.
Review before the final save
Inspect the location, description, guests, and available visibility settings. Google’s iOS guidance also allows starting an event from an empty interval in Day, 3 Day, or Week view and changing duration with drag handles. Check the resulting start and end after any gesture.
A shared calendar requires creation permission, and Birthday or Holiday calendars are not ordinary destinations for new events. A displayed calendar is not necessarily one you can edit.
Verify the saved entry
Complete the editor using its Save control and reopen the event. For an existing entry, Google’s guidance describes Edit followed by Done after changes; follow the final confirmation actually offered by the current editor. Check the destination and recurrence scope before assuming only one occurrence changed. Review guest updates separately from the local save. When synchronization matters, inspect the same event in the intended Google Account’s web calendar. A correct iOS entry is one identifiable event in the proper calendar, not proof that Apple Calendar has also been configured or that every guest has accepted.
