Check the Account and Destination Calendar Before Android Event Creation

Before creating an event in Google Calendar on Android, check both the selected account and the destination calendar. The app can display Google, third-party, and local calendar data. An event saved to a local phone calendar should not be assumed to appear at calendar.google.com.

Check the selected account

Use portrait orientation for the account-switching workflow. Tap the profile picture and inspect the account in use. Google’s guidance says the current account is shown at the top of the Menu, while other enabled accounts appear below it. Save unfinished edits before switching.

Inspect the event destination

Choose Create and Event, then tap the calendar name near the top. Select the intended editable calendar and confirm the associated account. Google says local accounts can display calendars but cannot be selected through the same account-switching route.

Third-party accounts can support different features. Tasks, colors, attachments, guest invitations, and synchronization should not be assumed identical across every account type. The app may switch accounts for a feature the current account cannot support, so review the result.

Verify one saved record

Save and reopen the event to confirm its calendar identity. When cross-device Google synchronization is required, check the event in the intended Google Account’s web calendar before relying on it. If it is absent, inspect destination and sync state before creating another copy. Android work and personal profiles can also use separate app contexts. Keep the event’s actual ownership and storage route clear. A profile photo alone is useful orientation, but the event’s saved destination is the evidence that the appointment belongs where you intended.
