Date-specific adjusted availability can close or change one day on a Google Calendar booking page without rewriting the normal weekly pattern. Use it for a holiday, travel day, or unusual service period. Adding an ordinary event named Closed is not the same as inspecting the schedule’s own exception.
Choose the affected schedule and date
On a computer, edit the intended Appointment schedule. Open the adjusted availability section and select the specific date. Check the schedule’s time zone and the date carefully when the closure relates to another region.
Apply the narrow exception
Google’s availability guidance describes marking the date unavailable or adding different times for that date. Enter the required exception and review any separate periods on the same day. Keep the regular weekly pattern unchanged when the difference is only temporary.
Use removal of the specific adjustment when an exception is no longer needed. Do not replace the whole schedule merely to correct one holiday entry, since that can change other offered dates and distributed links.
Verify the date and neighboring weeks
Save and open the booking page. Confirm the affected date’s actual offerings and inspect the same weekday in another week to ensure its normal hours remain intact. Review existing confirmed appointments separately; making a date unavailable for new bookings does not establish that earlier bookings were canceled or their guests informed. If another calendar also blocks that day, understand which rule is responsible before reopening availability. The completed exception should make the intended date behave differently while preserving ordinary hours elsewhere and leaving confirmed participant arrangements under explicit management.
