Use Google Slides Audience Q&A from an iPhone or iPad

The iPhone and iPad Google Slides app can manage Audience Q&A while presenting to another screen. Set up the presentation route first, then confirm the session link and question controls. A normal deck preview on the device is not the same as an active audience question session.

Open the session controls

While presenting to another screen, tap Show Q&A at the top right. Choose Start new for a fresh session or Continue recent for the intended earlier one. Google’s iOS guidance describes both choices.

Display questions carefully

Tap a question to show it to the audience. Tap another to change the displayed item, or the check mark beside it to hide it. Read the submission before displaying it so identifying information or inappropriate material does not appear unexpectedly.

Audience members use the link shown in the presentation. The iOS guidance specifies signed-in audience members for voting, so do not promise that every anonymous viewer can vote without an account.

Verify access and session closure

Use a harmless representative submission to confirm that the queue works for the intended audience. Review any organizational access restrictions separately. The optional anonymous question setting should not be described as untraceable participation. End Q&A with its on/off switch when collection is finished; Google’s help says the view also closes shortly after the presentation ends. Check that the audience has returned to the intended slide and use an approved private route for sensitive follow-up matters. Confirm which question is currently displayed.
