Google Slides on iPhone and iPad supports many edits, but some tasks are directed to a computer in official help. Identify the exact missing capability before searching through unrelated mobile menus. The iOS and Android apps should not be assumed to expose identical controls.
Separate supported mobile tasks
Google’s iOS theme guidance includes theme, layout, and background choices. Its table guidance also documents individual cell styling. Do not label those as unavailable merely because Android-specific help directs a comparable task to a computer.
Use desktop for documented limits
The iOS guidance directs image-placeholder insertion to a computer and Slides image reset to a computer. Slide numbering is directed to the web presentation interface. The slide-size help instructs users to adjust dimensions on a computer through Page setup.
For image color adjustments, the iOS image help directs users to the computer editor. Keep this separate from the Android-specific recolor and adjustment steps on its corresponding page.
Continue with the correct file
Confirm the account, presentation title, and latest saved content before opening the deck on desktop. Make the required narrow change, then review it again in the iOS app when that is the planned delivery device. A feature’s desktop availability does not establish that its live presentation behavior has been tested on the phone or tablet. Avoid replacing the presentation or installing an unknown add-on simply to imitate a missing control. Verify the finished slide and the audience route that will actually be used. Retain the original image for comparison.
