Google Slides on iPhone and iPad uses touch controls for adding and organizing slides. The bottom thumbnail row provides the editing context. Confirm the selected slides before changing the sequence, particularly when the presentation contains several examples with the same visual layout.
Add a slide
Open the deck in the Slides app. Tap New slide at the bottom right and choose a layout. Inspect the inserted slide’s location and fill the appropriate content areas. A layout supplies an arrangement, not verified wording for the new section.
Reorder existing slides
Touch and hold the thumbnail of a slide you want to move. Tap additional thumbnails when selecting a group, then drag the selected slides into their intended position. Google’s iPhone and iPad guidance describes this workflow for organizing the deck.
If you need another copy instead, the mobile guidance uses Copy and Paste after thumbnail selection. That is a different operation from moving the originals, so inspect the resulting sequence before continuing.
Verify the final order
Read the opening and ending of the moved section and check any references to earlier examples. Present the relevant slides to confirm that the explanation remains complete. Use the app’s explicit delete or skip control when that is the intended task, and remember that skipped slides remain accessible in the shared file. Google’s guidance directs slide numbering to the web presentation interface. Do not infer a matching desktop numbering menu inside the iOS app, and verify any exported audience copy separately after the deck’s structure changes.
