Audience members can use a Google Slides Q&A link to submit questions and vote on questions they want answered. Follow the link displayed by the presenter rather than sending a question to an unrelated comment thread in the presentation file.
Open the active audience link
Use the Q&A URL shown at the top of the presentation. Confirm that it belongs to the current session. If access is restricted, follow the event’s sign-in instructions or ask the organizer for the appropriate route rather than changing the file’s sharing settings yourself.
Submit a clear question
Choose Ask a question…, enter concise wording, and select Submit. Google’s guidance offers an optional Ask anonymously checkbox. Treat that as a submission-display option, not a guarantee that participation is untraceable or suitable for confidential disclosures.
Avoid including personal contact details, credentials, or sensitive information in a question that a presenter may display publicly. State the relevant premise clearly without presenting an unverified allegation as established fact.
Vote and follow the discussion
Use the up-vote or down-vote controls beneath a question when available. Google’s iOS audience guidance specifies signed-in members for voting, so be prepared for an account requirement rather than assuming anonymous voting. A vote expresses audience preference; it does not establish the correctness of a question’s premise or guarantee an answer. Keep questions relevant to the talk and use the organizer’s approved private contact route for matters that should not appear in a public session. Check whether voting requires sign-in.
