Google Slides lets a presenter display an audience question and then hide it when the discussion moves on. This is useful for giving everyone the same wording to consider. Review the question first so private details, inappropriate text, or an unrelated submission are not projected accidentally.
Find the question in Audience tools
During a Q&A session, open the presenter-facing Audience tools. Read the selected question completely. Check for names, contact details, and confidential information before deciding that it is suitable for the full audience.
Present or replace it
Click Present for the question you want to display. Google’s guidance says choosing Present on another question changes the displayed item. Confirm the visible audience view after the action rather than assuming the selected queue entry is already projected.
Use the displayed wording as a shared reference, and explain any clarification verbally. Do not silently treat a question’s premise as a verified fact simply because it appears in the presentation.
Hide it and return to the talk
Click Hide when the question should no longer be shown. Verify that the audience is back to the intended slide or presentation context. Hiding the displayed question is different from ending Q&A or deleting the underlying session history. Check the workflow in a rehearsal if another person will moderate questions. The presenter controls should help manage attention while preserving appropriate boundaries around what submitted material is made visible to everyone. Check spelling and potentially identifying details before projecting a submission.
