A Google Slides handout with several slides on a page can reduce paper use and give participants a compact reference. Choose a layout based on readability rather than maximizing the number of thumbnails. A dense slide that is readable on screen may be unusable when reduced into a small handout cell.
Open print preview
On a computer, open File > Print settings and preview. Inspect the available handout arrangements and choose the one suitable for the audience. Google’s printing help describes the handout controls and orientation choices through this preview workflow.
Review the reduced slides
Check the smallest captions, chart labels, and source credits at the chosen arrangement. Use fewer slides per page when essential information becomes difficult to read. Leave any note-taking space the event requires rather than treating every unused area as wasted paper.
Review the actual selected slides and their order. Do not assume that a successful live slideshow rehearsal proves which optional or skipped material appears in a handout.
Verify the final output
Click Print and inspect the destination, orientation, scale, and page range in the browser or system dialog. Produce a small sample or open the saved output before distributing the full set. Check whether media-dependent slides need a separate explanation or reference. Keep the handout version identifiable when the working deck will continue changing. A compact handout serves a different purpose from a full-size slide PDF, so verify the particular output rather than assuming one export check establishes every printing arrangement.
