Help me schedule can propose meeting times inside a Gmail draft, but a suggested time is not automatically suitable for every participant. Check feature access separately from whether the proposed slots reflect the correct guests, calendars, and time zones.
Find the feature in a supported workflow
On a computer, compose or reply to an email and look for Help me schedule at the bottom of the message or under More options. Access is plan- and rollout-dependent. Google’s dedicated scheduling guide and general feature overview describe different eligibility scopes, so verify the current feature-specific conditions for your account before assuming a subscription guarantees the button.
If it is unavailable, use your existing Calendar scheduling workflow. There is no reason to change your account’s country or bypass an administrator’s policy to propose meeting times.
Check the inputs before trusting the suggestions
Review the guests, duration, date window, and time zones. The scheduling guide allows review through Edit in Calendar, including guest-calendar availability that you have permission to see. Green and amber slots can indicate different conflict situations; inspect any warning rather than treating every offered slot as universally free.
If you change the email recipients after inserting a schedule card, reinsert the schedule. Google says the guest list is not automatically updated just because the email’s recipient list changes.
Verify the booking, not just the sent proposal
Review the proposed card or text before sending. A recipient’s later booking action can create the Calendar event and invitations; the original email proposing times is not itself proof that a meeting was booked.
Check the final event, guest list, time zone, and any replies before considering the task complete. If a priority attendee has a conflict, resolve it explicitly. Avoid disclosing private calendar details or widening calendar-sharing permissions merely to improve the assistant’s suggested slots.
