A purchase or reservation card is an extracted view of information, not an independent change to your booking. If a displayed date, amount, or delivery detail looks wrong, check the original confirmation and subsequent amendments before acting on the card.
Identify which view is showing the information
Gmail’s Purchases view gathers order, shipping, and delivery messages for personal Gmail accounts. Its Arriving soon section shows cards for orders with an estimated arrival date of today or later. This differs from the purchases, reservations, and subscriptions area in your broader Google Account.
Open the message behind the item and compare the merchant, reference number, currency, date, and relevant traveler or recipient. For reservations, look for a later cancellation or amendment. Multiple bookings from the same sender can make an apparently plausible summary refer to the wrong transaction.
Verify the current transaction outside the summary
Use the business’s known app or website to check the reservation or order. Do not follow an unexpected payment-change link simply because its wording resembles a card in Gmail. A message can contain accurate personal details and still require independent verification.
If the source email is wrong, contact the sender through an established channel. Changing a Google display entry does not correct the merchant’s underlying booking system. Likewise, removing an item from a Google view is not the same as cancelling an order or obtaining a refund.
Review personalization without deleting evidence
The relevant smart-feature controls affect how Google uses Workspace information for these experiences. Account type and product determine which controls apply. Turning off a setting may affect other features as well; read the associated explanation first.
Retain confirmation and correction messages until the issue is settled. If you report an extraction error, include the conflicting field and which message is authoritative, while hiding financial and personal details. Avoid deleting the original receipt just to make an inaccurate card disappear.
