If an app stopped syncing immediately after you removed its Google access, the missing permission may explain the change. Reconnect through the provider’s supported flow only after deciding that you still trust the app and need the feature.
Identify the permission you removed
Review the Google Account’s linked-app list and the provider’s connection settings. A Sign in with Google relationship, permission to read Google data, and a link allowing Google to use the provider’s features are different relationships.
Removing basic sign-in does not necessarily describe the same action as withdrawing Calendar or Gmail access. Check which function actually failed.
Confirm the app account before reconnecting
Use a working provider session or supported alternative login to open the existing profile. Check its workspace, subscription, and stored data before starting a new authorization.
If Google sign-in was your only route and you can no longer enter, use the provider’s recovery or support process. Do not create another profile just to make the connection button available.
Review the new consent request
- Start Connect or Reconnect from the legitimate provider’s settings.
- Select the intended Google Account.
- Read the data and actions requested.
- Approve only access appropriate to the feature and your trust decision.
- Return to the provider and inspect the connection status.
If the request is broader than expected, stop and ask the provider. A familiar logo or a previously working integration does not remove the need to review a new permission request.
Check synchronization carefully
Test a small non-sensitive item or a clearly identifiable update. Determine whether the app resumes existing data or creates duplicates before starting a large import or replaying an automation.
Authorization completing does not prove every provider-side sync job has run. Check the app’s own status, scope, and account mapping.
If access is blocked
Read the exact error. Organization policy, Advanced Protection, an unverified app, or a provider configuration problem can require administrator or developer action.
Do not disable security protection or approve every requested permission merely to clear a sync warning. If the app no longer meets your requirements, use its supported export and disconnection process instead.
