Mark a Google Meet Question Answered and Review the Follow-Up Report

Marking a Google Meet Q&A item answered tells participants that the moderator considers it handled. It does not itself supply an answer or resolve a missing decision. Use the status after the relevant response, then review the report for unanswered follow-up.

Apply answered status to the right question

As the moderator, open Meeting tools and Q&A on a computer. Find the question and choose Mark as answered. On mobile, use More controls, Meeting tools, and Q&A to find the same action. Check the selected wording before changing its status, especially when several questions concern similar topics. Do not mark an item answered merely to clear the list while the underlying response is still pending.

Use filters to identify remaining work

The Q&A panel offers filtering beside All questions and sorting by order or popularity. Review the remaining questions before the session closes and identify which need an owner or a later response. A high vote count shows interest, but a low count does not prove a question is unimportant. Keep private follow-up details out of a public answer when a participant raised a sensitive issue.

Review the emailed Questions report

After the meeting, the moderator receives an email with a question-report attachment. Google says it includes questions that were asked, hidden, approved, or deleted, along with poster names for non-anonymous submissions. Deleted questions remain available in that report even though they disappear from the live meeting. If a co-host lacks the report, ask the main host to review artifact delivery rather than assuming in-meeting promotion guarantees access. Check the report against the agreed answers and assign unresolved work explicitly. Share only the information and recipient access authorized for the follow-up.
