A weekly recurring Google Calendar event represents a maintained series rather than a collection of manually copied meetings. Set the repeat pattern deliberately and check its ending. A series that continues farther than intended can create unnecessary invitations and make future availability difficult to interpret.
Create the first occurrence
On a computer, create an event and enter its title, date, time, and other required details. Confirm the first occurrence before applying a repeat pattern. A wrong initial weekday or time can otherwise be repeated throughout the schedule.
Choose the weekly pattern
Open the dropdown beside Does not repeat and select the appropriate weekly frequency. Review the available end condition and save. Google’s recurring-event guidance describes choosing both frequency and when the repeating event should end.
Check guest addresses and calendar destination before sending invitations. A weekly series on a shared calendar follows that calendar’s permissions and is not automatically limited to the people named in the title.
Verify several occurrences
Inspect the first meeting, a later week, and the intended final date. Google’s help states a limit of 730 occurrences, so do not describe a series as an unlimited permanent schedule. Check the relevant time zone and review dates around daylight saving changes when participants work across regions. If one week differs, use an occurrence-specific change rather than rebuilding the whole series. The saved repeat rule establishes the schedule pattern, while room acceptance, guest attendance, and actual suitability of every future date require separate review.
