An event-specific time zone in Google Calendar is useful when an appointment is defined by another region’s local schedule. Enter the source time in that region rather than calculating an offset from memory. Each invited person’s calendar can then display the appointment in its own local context.
Open the event’s zone control
On a computer, choose Create, open the event’s full options, and find Time zone beside the time fields. Search for the appropriate city or country and select the intended region, then confirm the choice.
Enter the confirmed schedule
Set the date, start, and end according to the event’s real source. Check whether the region observes seasonal clock changes rather than treating its current numeric offset as a permanent rule. Keep the selected calendar and any guests appropriate for the meeting.
Do not change the primary display zone for every calendar merely to create one event defined in another location. The event-level control is the narrower operation.
Verify both local representations
Save and reopen the event. Inspect its source-zone details and its display in your normal calendar view, including the local date. Confirm critical arrangements with the organizer or authoritative schedule when ambiguity remains. A valid time-zone selection does not establish that the meeting’s source information was correct, that every guest is available, or that an external export retains equivalent details. Review the actual audience route and any room booking separately before relying on the event as a complete confirmed arrangement. Confirm the intended regional date.
