Google Calendar reminders on iPhone or iPad are personal account preferences, while iOS notification permission controls delivery on the device. Changing an event reminder in Google’s app can synchronize that preference to the computer. It should not be confused with changing another guest’s reminders.
Adjust one event
Open the event in Google Calendar and tap Edit. In Notifications, tap an existing reminder to change or remove it, or use Add another notification. Save and reopen the entry to inspect the final reminder list.
Review the calendar defaults
For a calendar’s ordinary settings, open Menu, Settings, and that calendar. Google’s iOS guidance provides Add another notification and describes swiping left on a notification to delete it. Confirm the calendar and account before changing defaults used for new events.
Those preferences do not set every collaborator’s reminders. Google’s current guidance explicitly separates personal notification settings from permissions to edit events or share the calendar.
Verify the device route
Check the iPhone or iPad’s notification settings for Google Calendar and use a harmless representative reminder when appropriate. If two apps produce duplicate alerts, identify the actual source before changing settings; Apple Calendar and Google Calendar may both display the same account through separate configurations. Do not disable all calendar reminders across the account when the real goal is only to silence one phone or one duplicate app. A saved notification time and a working device alert are different evidence. State the tested app, event, and device clearly instead of presenting one successful reminder as proof that every participant receives identical alerts.
