Google Sheets Text Is Cut Off: Check Wrapping, Row Height, and Neighboring Cells
Text that stops at the cell boundary may still be stored in full. Check the cell’s contents before assuming Sheets lost part of your entry.

A normal paste can bring source formatting into a carefully styled sheet. Decide whether you need the source values, formulas, formatting, or validation before repeating the operation.
Dragging a single cell often copies it. To extend an intentional numeric or date sequence, give Sheets enough examples to identify the pattern.
A checkbox is an input with underlying values. Formulas can fail when a sheet assumes TRUE and FALSE but the checkbox rule uses custom text instead.
Sorting one column independently can separate names, IDs, dates, and amounts that belong to the same record. Stop editing if the relationships already look wrong; another sort may make recovery harder.
If a column sorts as 1, 10, 2 rather than 1, 2, 10, some entries may be text. First confirm that the column represents numeric quantities rather than identifiers requiring textual order.
A filtered sheet can hide a row because of a condition in any filtered column. A value that passes the visible column’s rule may still fail another active rule.
A shared filter changes the filtered view other users encounter. A filter view lets you analyze a different subset or ordering without imposing that view on everyone working in the file.
A filter can operate correctly while omitting new records that sit outside its range. Check the range boundary before changing conditions or re-entering the missing rows.
A missing dropdown option usually needs a validation-rule check. Determine whether the cell uses a typed list or values from another range before editing the visible source data.
