Gmail’s standard Schedule send flow queues individual emails for a selected date and time. It does not provide a recurring-series control in that flow. Decide whether you need a reminder to write, a repeated calendar event, or an approved system that sends recurring mail.
Use individual schedules for a small, fixed set
If only a few future messages are required, prepare and review each one separately. Check its date, recipient, attachment, and text before scheduling. Google’s current limit is 100 scheduled messages.
Separate scheduled copies are not a managed recurring series. Correcting one does not establish that the others have been updated. Keep a record of the remaining copies when a recipient, price, document, or deadline changes.
Choose the feature that matches the task
A Gmail template saves reusable wording; it does not create a timed sending loop. A filter can send a selected template when a matching incoming message arrives, which is an event-triggered reply rather than a weekly schedule.
A recurring Calendar event can remind you or show availability, but that does not make it a recurring Gmail campaign. Gmail’s mail merge is another separate feature for eligible accounts, and Google’s current limitations exclude Schedule send while mail merge is in use.
Assess automation before granting access
For a continuing business requirement, ask the administrator which supported automation or mailing service is approved. Review who can edit recipients, what mailbox permissions it needs, how credentials are protected, and how sending failures or cancellations are handled.
A recurring process needs safeguards against duplicate runs and outdated recipient lists. Consider consent, unsubscribe requirements, sending quotas, and confidential information before enabling it. Do not install an extension with broad mailbox access solely because its description promises a missing Gmail button.
Test an approved workflow with harmless content and a small set of addresses you control before wider use. This article identifies the distinction between the built-in features; it does not establish that a particular outside service is available, compliant, or authorized for your account.
