Diagnose this browser’s environment
Summarizes the basic info needed for support and whether page features are usable.
We are checking the browser and device features currently displayed. These are not sample inputs or dummy values.
Browser, OS, and screen
Detailed browser info
- User-Agent
- Platform info
Cookie, storage, and file features
Camera and microphone permissions
Checking permission status alone does not launch the camera or microphone. The live test runs only when you click the button, and no video or audio is saved.
If your browser shows a prompt, you can choose to allow or block the request.
Add details to inquiry
Report to copy
Before sending, check that no name, email address, internal URL, or customer info in error messages is included.
Diagnostic information is not sent externally.
What you can check with the Browser and PC Environment Diagnostic Tool
Check your current browser and OS, viewport size, screen resolution, zoom level, language, time zone, cookies, web storage, IndexedDB, WebAssembly, file selection, downloads, and camera/microphone permissions on one screen.
Diagnostic results are supplementary info to convey the situation to support staff. They do not determine PC failure, virus infection, or line quality. Device names, IP addresses, and installed software lists are not collected.
Auto-organize basic environment
Summarizes browser, OS, screen, language, and time zone in easy-to-read English.
Actually test save feature
Writes test values to cookies, localStorage, sessionStorage, and IndexedDB, then immediately clears them.
Show permissions separately
Distinguishes between allowed, blocked, pending, and unsupported states, and never launches the camera or microphone on its own.
Create support message
Formats the date/time, service name, symptoms, and diagnostic results into easy-to-paste text.
Steps to check your environment before contacting support
- Press “Diagnose again”Re-run the diagnostic after resizing the window or changing settings to refresh the results.
- Check basic environmentChecks whether the browser name, OS, viewport size, and zoom level match your usual environment.
- Check features and permissionsChecks the status of cookies, storage, downloads, camera, and microphone as they relate to the issue.
- Describe the issue in detailDescribe in order what you pressed and what appeared on each screen.
- Review and send reportRemove personal or company-confidential information before pasting into the support ticket.
Meaning of diagnostic items
| Item | What you can check | If there are issues |
|---|---|---|
| Viewport | Actual usable width and height on the current page | Try maximizing the browser or setting zoom to 100% |
| Screen resolution | Total screen size the OS reports to the browser | Check external monitors and display settings |
| Cookie | Whether small information like login state can be saved | Check browser cookie restrictions and exceptions |
| Web storage | Whether site settings can be saved on your device | Check private mode and storage limits |
| IndexedDB | Whether relatively large in-browser data can be saved | Check site data deletion, storage, and policies |
| Download | Whether the browser has the File System Access API | Check pop-up and download restrictions |
Camera and microphone permission status
‘Allowed’ means available on this site, ‘Blocked’ means unavailable due to browser or OS settings, and ‘Pending’ means a prompt will appear when used. ‘Unsupported’ means the browser does not support reading permission status, not that the device is unusable.
The live test runs only when you click the button, through the browser’s standard prompt. The stream is stopped immediately, and no recording or upload occurs. On company-managed PCs, organizational policies may restrict usage.
If diagnostics alone don’t resolve the issue
Reload the same page, update the browser to the latest version, and test in a different profile or private window with extensions paused. For business systems, follow the supported browser and OS specifications.
Error screens are saved so the time and action are clear. However, if customer names, emails, contract numbers, or tokens in URLs appear, check with your support contact for secure methods and masking.
Diagnosis stays on device
Reading environment info, testing storage, checking permission status, and creating reports all happen within the browser. This tool does not make external communications to look up IP addresses or ISPs. Live camera/microphone test results are not sent either.
Frequently asked questions about browser and PC environment diagnostics
Does the diagnostic button change PC settings?
No changes. Test values for storage features are deleted after checking.
Is the IP address displayed?
Not shown. Only items that can be retrieved without connecting to external services are included.
Does the camera or microphone start on its own?
Does not launch. Only launches briefly when you click the test button and grant permission in the browser.
Is zoom level accurate?
An estimate derived from devicePixelRatio. Interpretation varies with OS display scaling and external monitors.
Is it okay to publish the diagnostic report as is?
Contains the User-Agent and symptom details, so do not share publicly; share only with your support contact.
Are diagnostic results saved?
No auto-save. Copy or save as text only when needed.

Practical examples
Prepare a useful support report
Run the check in the browser where the problem occurs. Review the browser, operating system and feature results, then copy or save the report if support asks for it. Add the affected application and steps to reproduce separately; the tool cannot diagnose every Windows or Office problem.
Review the report before sharing it. Browser and device details can identify your environment even though the report contains no document contents.
Separate a permission problem from a service incident
For a browser call with no camera or microphone, use the relevant live test only when you want to grant access. The test stops the captured stream afterward and does not save a recording. A denied permission is a useful finding, not evidence of a service outage.
If multiple people are affected at once, also check the service status monitor. A normal public status does not rule out a tenant-specific, account-specific or local fault.
