Google Meet attendance and live-stream reports depend on eligibility, settings, and the recipient’s role. Look for the correct report after the event rather than assuming every participant receives one. An attendance sheet, an internal stream-viewer report, and YouTube broadcast metrics describe different kinds of activity.
Confirm eligibility and tracking settings
Check the organizer’s eligible edition and administrator settings before the meeting. Google’s reporting guidance explains that eligible users can find attendance tracking in Host controls, with some Education reporting enabled automatically. For other eligible accounts, verify the setting instead of assuming it was active. Report tracking problems promptly because Google says tracking information is retained in Meet for a limited time.
Look for the organizer’s report email
After the meeting, Google sends the organizer an email with a Google Sheets attendance report. Room connections can appear under the room name, and dial-in participants may appear with partial telephone digits. Repeat joins are not necessarily shown as separate timestamp pairs. For an internal live stream, the organizer’s report can include viewers, viewership over time, and separate metrics tabs for repeated stream starts and stops.
Interpret the report within its limits
A connection duration does not prove continuous attention or independently verified physical attendance. Share reports only through the approved audience and storage arrangements. If you operated a YouTube stream from Meet, Google’s separate YouTube guide says hosts and co-hosts receive broadcast metrics such as duration, public likes, and public views. Do not search an ordinary attendance sheet for those metrics or treat them as identical measures. If a report is missing, provide the organizer and administrator the event identity and relevant settings rather than promising a report can be recreated retroactively.
