Choose Meet, Phone, or In-Person Location for a Booking Page

A Google Calendar appointment schedule can describe how a booked meeting will happen. Choose a Google Meet, phone, in-person, or no-location route according to the actual service. A page title saying online is not a substitute for a usable meeting method.

Choose the intended meeting method

On a computer, create or edit the schedule and continue to the booking-page settings. Under location and conferencing, inspect the available options. Google’s setup guidance distinguishes Google Meet, an in-person meeting, a phone call, and None for a method specified later.

Provide suitable visitor information

For an in-person appointment, use an appropriate location and clear arrival instructions. Review whether a precise address should be visible on a page available to anyone with its link. For phone appointments, check the displayed calling arrangement and any information the booking form requests.

Google’s guidance describes choosing None when using another conferencing service, then adding the appropriate meeting link to the booked event. Do not imply that selecting None automatically provisions a third-party meeting.

Verify the booked-event route

Save and inspect the booking page’s instructions. When an authorized test booking is appropriate, review the resulting event and confirmation details so the participant has the correct location or joining route. Keep conference access and calendar availability separate. A selected video option does not prove every guest can join under organizational policies. Avoid placing unrelated or reusable confidential meeting links in a public-facing description. The finished arrangement should tell a visitor what kind of meeting to expect and provide the actual joining or arrival information through the appropriate confirmed-booking route.
