Snoozing a Google Calendar desktop notification can defer a reminder when you are not ready to act. Google’s current guidance limits snooze notifications to Chrome. It is a reminder-delivery preference, not a change to the meeting’s actual start time.
Enable the appropriate route
On a computer in Chrome, open Calendar’s Settings > Settings > Notification settings. Use desktop notifications and inspect Show snoozed notifications. Choose the available snooze timing that fits your workflow.
Understand which reminder can snooze
Google’s help says that when an event has several notification times, the Snooze option appears only on the final one. Do not assume every earlier preparation reminder offers the same control or that another supported browser necessarily has Chrome’s snooze behavior.
Check that calendar.google.com has the required notification permission and that Calendar is open for the documented desktop workflow.
Verify without rescheduling
Test with a suitable harmless event and inspect the actual deferred notification. Reopen the event afterward to confirm that its date and start time remain the intended ones. A snoozed alert does not tell the organizer you will be late or move the appointment for other guests. If your plans change, update the actual RSVP or coordinate through the appropriate route. Use snooze for a deliberate reminder pause, and avoid treating it as a reliable substitute for a critical deadline process without verifying the browser, system, and account context on which that reminder depends. Keep the event and its reminder clearly distinguished when explaining the result.
