Gmail Rejects Mail From Your Domain: Understand the Authentication Requirements

2026年10月29日 by wisechecker

If mail from your domain is rejected by Gmail, inspect the receiving error and the sending service’s authentication. Google’s sender requirements for personal Gmail destinations are different from a recipient’s local inbox preference. A Never send it to Spam filter cannot repair an authentication rejection before delivery.

Collect a real rejection example

  1. Record the actual sender, intended recipient, and time.
  2. Keep the full bounce diagnostic or administrator log privately.
  3. Identify the service that sent the message, including website or marketing platforms.
  4. Check whether forwarding changed the route.

A message using your domain in From is not automatically authorized merely because the website belongs to you. Different platforms may need separate approved sending configurations.

Understand the requirement categories

Google’s guidelines require SPF or DKIM for all senders to personal Gmail accounts, with additional SPF, DKIM, and DMARC requirements for bulk senders. Secure transport, valid DNS information, message format, and sending practices also matter.

Domain alignment is distinct from merely having some domain pass a check. The administrator should compare the visible From domain with the authenticated sending route and the specific requirements that apply.

Repair the authorized sender, not the recipient’s defenses

Ask the domain or mail-service administrator to review the current official requirements and provider documentation. This user-facing article identifies the checks; it does not instruct an ordinary recipient to publish DNS records or weaken domain policy.

Do not add arbitrary SPF includes, remove DMARC protection, or switch to an unknown relay to hide a failure. Forwarding and mailing-list transformations may require their own supported handling rather than a blanket authentication exception.

After a justified configuration correction, send a small harmless test and inspect the actual results. Authentication helps establish the route but does not guarantee inbox placement or make deceptive content safe. Maintain valid recipient lists and an appropriate subscribed-mail process, and use the exact rejection evidence to distinguish authentication, policy, rate, and reputation problems.
