If Gmail’s Templates menu is missing, first confirm that you are using Gmail on a computer, in the correct account, with Templates enabled. A saved template’s absence from the mobile app does not establish that the template has been deleted.
Check the supported interface
Google says message templates can only be enabled and used from Gmail on a computer. In the Gmail mobile apps, do not expect the same Advanced setting or compose-window Templates menu. Moving between interfaces can explain a missing control without any loss of saved content.
For an important response, preserve the draft you already have before switching devices or accounts. Do not reset the phone or remove its account just to look for this web feature.
Enable the feature and inspect the compose menu
In computer Gmail, open Settings → See all settings → Advanced. Find Templates, choose Enable, and save changes. Then open a compose window and inspect More options near its bottom.
The template actions are inside that menu; they are not a separate list of mail folders. When you want to reuse saved text, look under Insert template. The options to save, overwrite, and delete serve different purposes.
Distinguish an absent menu from an absent entry
If Templates exists but one named item is missing, check whether you are in the mailbox where it was saved. Several signed-in accounts can have similar profile images. Inspect the full address and compare another known template from that mailbox.
If a template was intentionally deleted, Google does not provide a recovery promise for it. Look for an approved source copy or a previous message containing the wording, but remove any recipient-specific information before creating a replacement.
If the entire setting remains unavailable in the expected computer interface, capture the account type and the non-sensitive screen details for support or your administrator. Avoid installing a third-party mailbox tool as an automatic workaround. First determine whether the issue is interface, account selection, or the availability of the particular saved entry.
