If Google shows an incorrect birthday, correct the date in your Google Account rather than entering an older age to unlock a service. The birthday affects age eligibility as well as profile personalization, and a correction can trigger an age-verification request.
Check the account and the actual date
Open myaccount.google.com, confirm the email address in the profile menu, and select Personal info. Open Birthday, enter your real date of birth, and save the change using the controls provided. Read the month and day carefully: a different language or date format can make a correct date look reversed.
Google lets you edit a birthday after adding it, but does not let you remove it entirely. If the field cannot be changed on a supervised or organization-managed account, use that account’s available help or ask its parent or administrator about the restriction. Do not create a false adult identity as a workaround.
Understand an age-verification request
A changed date can affect access to age-restricted content or services. If Google asks for verification, open the notice from your signed-in account and follow the methods actually offered for your country and account. Do not send identity documents or payment information to an address from an unsolicited support message.
Verification options and deadlines are not identical for every user. If a notice says the account may become unavailable, follow its official instructions promptly. Repeatedly changing the birthday will not establish your age or guarantee that a restriction disappears.
Check visibility separately from accuracy
In the birthday settings, review who can see the date. Where offered, choose Only you if you do not want other users to see it. Hiding a birthday does not remove it from Google’s account records or bypass age requirements.
If other people see a birthday highlight on the wrong day even after your account date is correct, their Google Contacts entry may contain a different date. Ask them to check that contact rather than repeatedly changing your own birthday. A device or app can also have separate age-related settings; changing this account field is not a universal correction for every service.
