    In the left Folder Pane, right-click on the email account name you want to separate. Select New Folder from the menu. Name the new folder, for example, “Personal Inbox.”
  2. Set the new folder as the delivery location
    Go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings. In the Email tab, select the account you are configuring and click Change. In the Change Account window, click More Settings.
  3. Configure the advanced delivery settings
    Navigate to the Advanced tab in the Internet Email Settings dialog. Click the button labeled Outgoing Server. Now, click the button labeled Incoming mail. A new dialog titled Change Folder will appear.
  4. Select the new delivery folder
    In the Change Folder dialog, select the new folder you created in Step 1, such as “Personal Inbox.” Click OK to confirm your selection. Click OK again to close the More Settings window.
  5. Complete and test the change
    Click Next and then Finish in the Change Account window. Outlook will apply the new setting. Send a test email to that account. The new message should now arrive directly in your new, separate folder instead of the main inbox.

Disable the Focused Inbox View

If you prefer to keep a combined inbox but want to see accounts grouped, turn off Focused Inbox. Go to the View tab on the ribbon. Click Show Focused Inbox to uncheck the option. Your inbox will revert to a single list, but emails will still be from all accounts. For true separation, you must use the folder creation method above.

Outlook Rules Are Moving Messages

A pre-existing rule might be overriding your new folder settings. Check your rules by going to File > Manage Rules & Alerts. Review the list for any rules that move messages to a folder. Disable or delete rules that conflict with your new account folder setup.
