  7. For chronic Microsoft 365 promo: don’t sign in / accept — eventually stops.

How to verify the fix worked

  • No more hardware compatibility notifications.
  • Notification list (Win+N) clean.
  • Settings shows desired notification preferences.
  • System tray: no nag balloons / banners.

If none of these work

If notifications persist: OEM utility: identify and disable in utility’s own settings. For Microsoft 365 Family: sign in / accept may stop. For corporate IT: notifications may be managed. Contact IT.
