Google can ask for age verification to determine whether an account or a particular feature meets its requirements. First establish what the request concerns: eligibility to manage the account, access to restricted content, or another service-specific requirement. These are not interchangeable problems.
Verify the request through the account
Open the relevant Google service directly and sign in to the intended account. Look for the same requirement there. Do not begin by uploading identification through a link in an unexpected message.
Read which account is affected, what access is restricted, the available methods, and any deadline. If you manage several accounts, check the full email address before submitting personal information.
Use only the options actually offered
Google’s available verification methods depend on the country, service, and account. A method described for another user may not appear for you. Follow the signed-in verification flow rather than trying to make an unavailable method appear by changing the birthday or country.
If the process offers an identity document, payment method, or another approved verification method, read the associated privacy and processing information before continuing. This article does not collect documents, card details, or verification codes.
Do not confuse verification with changing the birthday
Correcting a genuine error in personal information is different from proving an existing age. Entering a false birthday can create further account restrictions and does not establish valid eligibility.
For a child, review the supervised-account options with the parent or guardian. For an account provided by a school, involve the administrator if the account’s management or service rules are unclear.
Check the result in the same service
After submitting the information, return to the service that requested verification and check its status. An upload completing is not the same as the review being approved. Keep any confirmation or case reference in a private location.
If the review fails, use the reason and next steps shown in the official process. Do not repeatedly send documents through unrelated channels or pay someone who promises to remove the requirement. A support request can describe the error and method used without exposing the document itself.
