A Gmail Message blocked notice needs its full delivery-failure reason. It can concern recipient policy, authentication, message content, an attachment, or an organizational restriction. It does not necessarily mean the recipient personally blocked your address.
Read the failure for the affected recipient
- Find the delivery-status message associated with your actual send.
- Confirm the intended recipient and sending time.
- Read the diagnostic text and any error code.
- Check whether the failure applies to every recipient or only one.
Keep the original notice for trusted support, but do not forward private attachments unnecessarily. A delivery report is evidence to inspect, not an instruction to enter your password on an unfamiliar linked page.
Separate the likely causes
An invalid recipient requires an address correction. An authentication rejection requires the sending domain or service administrator. A managed compliance policy belongs with your organization’s support team. A prohibited attachment should be handled through an approved secure sharing method.
If an ordinary message is misclassified, ask the verified recipient or administrator to inspect the reason. A useful test changes one legitimate factor at a time; it should not strip essential context merely to force a message past a warning.
Retry only after a justified correction
Do not rename executable files, remove protection, or use an unknown relay to bypass a block. Switching to a personal account can also disclose work information outside approved controls.
If the report describes a temporary technical problem, follow its retry guidance and coordinate with the recipient. If it is a final rejection, repeated identical sends can produce more failures without repairing the cause.
Provide support with the exact code, sender, recipient, client, and timestamp. Do not rely on a generic list claiming that every blocked message has the same solution. After an authorized correction, verify one harmless new attempt and distinguish server acceptance from the recipient actually finding the message.
