Google Calendar can export event copies to a computer for an authorized migration or record. Use the computer web interface; Google’s guidance says this export workflow is not available in the Calendar mobile app. Check permission and organizational restrictions before expecting a download.
Confirm which calendars are eligible
The official export guidance requires Make changes and manage sharing permission for a calendar you want to export. A calendar visible in your list is not necessarily exportable. Work or school administrators can also restrict export settings.
Download the export
On a computer, open Settings > Settings > Import & export. Under Export, choose Export. Google’s documented all-calendars workflow downloads a ZIP file containing calendar files. Store it in an appropriate location for the information it contains.
If you need only one calendar, use that calendar’s individual export instead. Avoid gathering unrelated personal or organizational schedules simply because a broader download is convenient.
Verify the retained result
Confirm that the file downloaded and inspect the archive’s expected contents. Check representative event data through an appropriate trusted application when the export will support a migration. A completed download alone is not proof of a usable recovery plan. Treat the export as a dated copy, not a continuously updated calendar or a record that automatically includes every related file and conference artifact. Do not make a calendar public to bypass an unavailable export control. Ask its owner or administrator about the legitimate route. Keep the source available until the receiving system and the necessary event details have been checked.
