A custom multi-day view in Google Calendar can focus attention on a practical planning window, such as a short project period. It changes the calendar’s display rather than the duration of its events. Choose it when the standard day, week, or month view shows too much or too little context.
Open view options
On a computer, open Settings > Settings and select View options. Google’s viewing guidance describes a custom view among these settings. Review the options actually offered by the interface rather than assuming a specific number of days is available everywhere.
Select the useful range
Choose the custom display range that suits your planning task. Return to the calendar and select the custom view through the view selector. The interface may label it with its configured range, so read the actual choice instead of looking only for the word “custom.”
Keep event duration separate from display range. A multi-day view does not convert a timed meeting into an all-day event or change the recurrence of an existing series.
Check the resulting period
Navigate to a known date and confirm that the displayed range contains the intended days. Inspect the first and last dates carefully so a deadline just outside the window is not overlooked. Check enabled calendars and time-zone labels when comparing availability. If the view is too narrow for a recurring planning question, choose another display rather than copying events into the visible period. Review a print preview separately because the on-screen custom view is not proof of the exact pages a printer or PDF output will produce.
