The Google Slides Android app can add a table and change its row or column structure. Use a compact dataset that remains readable on a slide. The shared table help contains separate Docs instructions, so follow the section labeled for Slides rather than applying every mobile table menu indiscriminately.
Insert the table
Open the presentation, select the intended slide, tap Add > Table, choose the row and column counts, and tap Insert table. Add clear headings and verified values. Do not assume a Slides table calculates formulas like a spreadsheet.
Edit rows and columns
Tap the table and the gray bar beside the relevant row or column. Choose the appropriate insertion direction when expanding the table. For deletion, use the selection’s More menu and delete control, checking the scope before confirming.
Google’s Android Slides instructions describe dragging row or column edge lines to resize them and using the table’s blue squares to resize the whole object. Review nearby content after changing the dimensions.
Check mobile limits and readability
Present the slide and inspect the longest labels and final row. Google’s Android guidance directs individual cell styling in Slides to a computer, unlike some other platform-specific table options. Continue on desktop when that styling is required instead of searching for a Docs-only control. If the table is too dense, reduce the displayed comparison or divide it across slides. Verify all values and headings again after structural changes; an orderly table can still contain a shifted label or an outdated number.
