If a Google One upgrade does not appear in Gmail, confirm which Google account received the purchase and which billing channel processed it. A card charge or an Apple receipt does not by itself identify the Gmail account whose capacity should change.
Compare the purchase with the affected account
- Open Google One and note the signed-in Google address.
- Check the plan status and official storage allowance.
- Review the purchase confirmation and billing provider privately.
- Compare with the account showing the Gmail warning.
If several Google accounts were signed in during purchase, the plan may belong to another one. An Apple account used for payment and a Google account receiving the service are separate identities.
Allow the documented activation period
Google says a purchased storage upgrade can take up to 24 hours to become available. Check whether payment actually completed rather than treating a pending bank authorization as final activation.
A new plan normally replaces the existing plan allowance rather than stacking every advertised capacity together. Promotions, family sharing, and other eligible arrangements can change the displayed total, so use the actual account view.
Use the correct support and management route
If the payment completed and the relevant period has passed, contact official support with the purchase time, account, provider, and transaction reference. Do not post card details or full receipts publicly.
Google describes cancellation and repurchase as an option for some wrong-account purchases, but do not perform it blindly. Check refund eligibility, billing-cycle effects, and whether losing capacity would interrupt receiving mail. App Store and third-party purchases have their own management routes.
Do not buy a second plan repeatedly to force synchronization or follow a storage-fix link from an unverified email. Keep required mail and records protected while the billing issue is reviewed. Once the correct allowance appears, test a harmless new delivery; messages rejected before the upgrade may still need to be sent again.
